Ludgate Bloom

Ludgate Bloom is a one-person design-and-build studio operated by Sam Ludgate Bloom, based at Little Bosvarren, Constantine, Cornwall. Sam handcrafts bespoke, Finnish-style wood-fired saunas and cabins using UK-grown timber — including Douglas Fir structural frames, SW UK Larch exterior cladding, and thermowood ash and alder interiors — with a focus on low environmental impact and building mobility. Builds are designed to rest on the ground without groundworks, and are deliverable anywhere in the UK by lorry. The studio works both to commission and sells completed buildings direct, making it well suited to buyers seeking an architect-quality, sculptural sauna rather than an off-the-shelf product.
