La'al Sauna operates two hand-built, wood-fired horsebox saunas — named YAN and TAN — sited directly on the shoreline of Coniston Water at Bank Ground Farm, with views across the lake to Coniston Old Man. Founded in January 2023, the saunas are heated by HUUM stoves and insulated with locally sourced sheep wool; kiln-dried logs are used as fuel. Sessions run in one-hour slots at £20 per person, with direct lake access via jetties and a swim ladder for cold dips between rounds. The operator also tours other Cumbrian sites, reflecting the mobile origins of both builds.
