This site sets no cookies for visitors unless you say yes to analytics. Nothing is set before you choose, and saying no is one click.

What runs on the site

• Google Analytics — only if you accept. If you accept, it sets a cookie so repeat visits can be recognised as the same person, and reports aggregate usage: which pages are read and roughly how visitors arrive. If you reject, or have not answered, it stores nothing and reports nothing. No advertising identifiers are used either way — the site runs no advertising, so there is nothing to ask about there.
• Vercel Web Analytics. Cookieless by design and always on; counts page views in aggregate and stores nothing on your device. This is the site's actual visitor count, which is why rejecting Google Analytics costs us very little and costs you nothing.

Your choice

The one exception

The site's admin area — used only by the person who runs the site, behind a password — sets a single session cookie (admin_session, expires after 7 days) so the site operator stays signed in. It is never set for visitors and does nothing on the public site.

If this changes

If the site ever needs to set cookies for anything beyond the analytics described above, this page changes first and you are asked again before anything new is set. Being asked a second time is not a malfunction — it means the answer you gave no longer covers what is being proposed. More detail on what the site collects and why is in the privacy notice.
