Niku-Naku Sauna
Bala, Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, North Wales
Niku-Naku is a wood-fired Finnish sauna on the shores of Llyn Tegid (Lake Bala), the largest natural lake in Wales, operating within Eryri National Park. Founded by two Finnish-born brothers, the lakeside cabin holds up to seven people for shared public sessions and ten for private hire, with 50- or 80-minute slots available Friday to Sunday. A cold plunge and wild swim in the lake form an integral part of the experience, following traditional Finnish löyly customs. A second seasonal site at Tywyn beach on Cardigan Bay is planned to open in spring 2026.
